EMERALD ISLE CAMP
We offer 3 day surf camps (Tuesday through Thursday) with 3 hours of instruction per day. Come learn how to surf and share the experience with new friends. Our surf camp is exactly what you need to get a jump start into the sport of surfing. Located at Western Ocean Regional Access off Islander Drive in Emerald Isle with parking, restrooms, and showers.

Don't worry! Our instructors will give you the fundamentals you need to begin enjoying yourself. You'll learn the essentials of surfing etiquette, ocean knowledge, and water safety.
An instructor will work individually with you on surfing
technique to ensure that you learn the right way from the
start. We start you off easy with the basics and give you
a foundation to build on. If you've been thinking about
it--don't hesitate any longer. Come learn how to surf from
professional instructors that will ensure that you have a
positive and memorable experience. Surfboards
are provided. We recommend 1-1/2 to 2 hours for your first lesson.

About the Heverly Brothers
The Heverly family has lived in Emerald Isle since the early 1960's. The first generation of Heverly Brothers (Kennie, David, Carl and Roy) grew up at the Emerald Isle Fishing Pier were they learned to surf. The Heverly Brothers all competed locally, regionally and on a national level and consistently made the finals at all levels. Today all the brothers continue to enjoy the great sport of surfing and can be seen at the local breaks and other surf destinations around the world.
The next generation of brothers Hunter and Fisher have been surfing since early childhood and have taken the sport to the next level. For
the past 7-8 years they have been traveling the planet competing in
professional surf contests and free surfing all around the world. They are both former ESA All-star Team members AND USA Surf Team Members where they were coached by former World Champ Peter Townend and Pipe Masters champ Joey Buran. Hunter and Fisher have also both been featured in and on the cover of numerous surf magazines and in the "Top 100" surfers.
Their knowledge of the ocean is unmatched. Come learn to surf with the Heverly Brothers and our other highly experienced and friendly instructors.

What do I need to bring?

Is there a swim test?
No, there is no swim test
required in order to participate. You are not required to be a strong
swimmer to participate because we start you off in shallow water with
an instructor at your side. Our staff determines swimming ability and
ocean competence on an individual basis. Participants always work at
their own pace and learn new skills in a safe and supportive
environment.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
We provide all the equipment. You don't need to bring a board. If you have a board and would like to bring
it along that's no problem. Our staff can help determine if it's right
for you.
Where do we meet?
The specific beach which you meet at depends on the particular
session you choose. All the details are included in your confirmation
after you sign up.
How many instructors do you have for each session?
A low ratio of 3-to-1
ensures proper supervision and personalized service. Each participant
receives individual attention in a safe and fun environment. Our staff
makes sure that you have a great time learning to surf.
How do I sign-up?
Our sign-up process is quick and easy. Use our online registration to secure a space and conveniently pay with your credit card. All you need to do is click on Sign up, choose a session, fill out the participant information and pay with MasterCard or Visa.
